In Soniation Duo, saxophonist Greg Bruce and pianist James Hurley weave together musical themes which they spontaneously create during each performance. Using sounds (son-) rooted in the classical tradition, this highly attuned pair explores creative sparks from their inception through adventurous ideation (-iation). Sometimes logical, sometimes whimsical; whether sure-footed or reckless, the two halves of Soniation Duo collide, mirror, and venture into uncharted territory to take the audience on an ever evolving, always fresh journey through new musical landscapes.
